US actress Alexandra Shipp is ready to crack Hollywood, playing the role of Storm in next year's blockbuster X-Men: Apocalypse, following in the footsteps of Halle Berry who previously played the character.

The 24 year old was last seen in the biographical drama film Straight Outta Compton, and also appeared in Lifetime's Aaliyah biopic, and TV series House of Anubis. But it is Shipp's role in the hit superhero franchise that's sure to put her on the map as she looks ahead to landing new projects.
